The
Company of the Future
Changing the world in the following ways:
-
Use underground pipelines to transport freight—minerals, construction
materials, solid wastes, agricultural products, packaged goods, mail, parcels
and hundreds of other goods in crates, boxes or bags or on pallets. Even 40-ft
containers can be transported by large PCPs using buried conduits or
underground tunnels.
-
Reduce the number of trucks needed on highways and streets, thereby reducing
traffic jam, accidents, air pollution, and damage to roads and streets caused
by trucks.
-
Revolutionize the way freight is transported in the future, making it faster,
safer, more energy-efficient, more secure from terrorist attacks, and more
environmentally friendly.
-
Turn biomass waste materials (crop residues, forest wastes, waste paper, yard
wastes, and certain components of municipal solid wastes) into a solid fuel
that is clean to burn and does not cause the greenhouse effect and global
warming.
-
Turn fly ash and other power plant wastes or byproducts into useful
construction materials such as bricks and blocks.
-
Turn hazardous wastes including lead mine tailings and certain nuclear wastes
into dense impervious monoliths (logs or blocks) for pollution-free and safe
disposal underground.
